Lake

So the weather has finally warmed up a bit...for the time at least, and I've felt nothing but compelled to go out and start exploring this strange and scenic little neighborhood in which I live.  I'm looking forward to summers canoeing and spending time on the water.  A friend recently told me about a little canal off this lake that runs into a pond full of lily pads and these curious abandoned round shaped buildings which have been turned on their sides and spray painted.  Goodness, I can't wait to see that, but for now I will settle for exploring this dock in my recently thrifted duck boots.  Perhaps not the prettiest choice of footwear but practical for tromping these stony grounds.  It's quiet here on Beech Lake and I quite like that.

What's new in your world darlings?

Love Bunches,

    1. Aw thanks! I use Photoshop Elements and duplicate the layer then choose soft on the blending modes drop down. I finish it off by adjusting the levels under layers- add new layer. It's not the same for every photo, the more you play around, the more interesting effects you can come up with. That's basically it in a nutshell.

A canoe and a summer cottage sound like a dream...I simply cannot wait for summer to be here:)

  13. Gah! You look so cute Marisa! :) I think you are the cutest blogger I follow I just love you! :) I love how quiet all the beaches are just now! If you wrap up warm enough it's amazing in the snow! :) I went to a frozen wee loch in the borders (between Scotland and England) the other day and it was so beautiful! Today I got up at 6am and have been stuck in my bedroom taking pictures of things to sell on ebay! ugh! I am so bored with it I had to come onto blogger! :) Doh! Still got two boxes of things to do! :( I hope you have a brilliant weekend darling! :) Zoë x

  21. Hey Marisa thanks so much for your comment on my blog, yes i know what you mean, red is a fab color and its easy to gravitate towards it, its versatile and wearable all year around and looks fab with pretty much everything.
and yes i do think that purple, royal blue and a jewel tone green would bring out the best of you.
i changed my hair color yesterday from light brown to a brownish red, and i am kind of freaked out now, would wearing red on brownish red hair look awful? i own so many red things....
    freaked out.
    lol
